OCTOBER 8, 2016 - Fillys Roadhouse Equine Beauty Contest

• Contestant line-up at 3:30 P.M.
• Contestant parade and voting starts at 4:00 P.M. at the rear of Fillys around the outside of the patio seating area.
• Contestants will be based on 4 categories: Patriotic, traditional old time western, Glam and Glitter - Judges Choice
• Contestants can ride or walk entries.
• Judging will be based on the horse only. Will not be judging the attire of the owner.
• Judges will be the Pageant committee and one member from the rodeo. (TBD)
• There will be 1 winner in each category for adult entries and 1 in each category for youth entries (16 and under). All winners will receive Rosettes.
• Award presentations and ceremony will be just prior to the starting of the band.

OCTOBER 15, 2016 - Superstition Ranch Rodeo Event

SMPC is a charity organization that is the major organizer of Lost Dutchman Days Rodeo in Apache Junction AZ. The Superstition Mountain Ranch Rodeo will be held on October 15th 2016 at Apache Junction Rodeo Grounds. Over the last 52 years that we have presented our rodeo events we have donated over 1 million dollars to local youth charities, scholarship programs, youth equestrian programs and more. Profits from this event are donated back to these youth organizations and other youth serving programs of the Apache Junction community.

The Ranch Rodeo is an event that serves as a living tribute to our ranching heritage. The Ranch Rodeo promotes the unique history and the western lifestyle by featuring competition between real cowboys from real working ranches.

The cowboys and their ranch horses compete in five events that showcase the necessary skills and know how ranch hands practice daily on today's ranches. The Ranch Rodeo's events require the same teamwork ranch hands use in their everyday lives.

Spectators enjoy action, excitement, thrills, and laughs in a wholesome environment as they root for their favorite teams.

The Rodeo will start at 12 noon. This year's events are Ranch Bronc Riding, $100 per man, added money (TBD) limited to the first 20 paid riders.

Stray Gathering, Trailer Loading, Wild Cow Milking and Calf Branding. $150 Per man – 4 man teams, limited to the first 12 paid teams. All stock is provided by Milo DeWitt.

Rodeo Dance is 7 P.M. -11 P.M. This is a family friendly event, all ages welcome! It is going to be held at Filly's Roadhouse in Apache Junction. There will be live music performed by Roadhouse Wranglers. It promises to be a fun dance so bring your partner and step out on the dance floor! Admission for the dance is $5.00 with kids under 12 free with a paying adult.
